The chassis dynamometer is an indoor bench test equipment used to test the performance of automobile dynamics, multi-operating condition emission indexes, fuel indexes, etc., as shown in the figure below. The chassis dynamometer simulates the road surface through the roller, calculates the road simulation equations, and simulates them with the loading device to achieve accurate simulation of each working condition of the car.
It can be used for automobile loading debugging and diagnosing the faults of automobiles under load conditions; it is composed of a comprehensive measurement system together with five gas analyser, transmission smoke meter, engine tachometer, and computer auto-control system in order to measure automobile tail gas emission under different working conditions.
Chassis dynamometer is easy to use, reliable performance is not affected by external conditions. Without dismantling the car, it can accurately and quickly detect the performance of each system and component of the car. The chassis dynamometer can be used for both automotive scientific testing and maintenance testing.
